Consortium Agreements

Consortium agreement forms will need to be completed by the end of the first week of each semester.  If a student is attending only session two courses, the form will need to be completed by the end of the first week of that session.  For specific semester dates, please refer to the academic calendar.

Standards of Academic Progress (SAP) Appeals

SAP appeals with all required supporting documentation (i.e. materially complete appeals) must be submitted prior to the start of session two for the current semester.  If a student is enrolled for the current semester in which the appeal is received, any course outcomes of the current semester may determine if the appeal can be considered for the active semester or a subsequent semester.  All appeals received after the beginning of session two will be considered for the subsequent semester.  For specific semester dates, please refer to the academic calendar.

The State of Michigan deadline for the Michigan Competitive Scholarship (MCS) and Michigan Tuition Grant (MTG) is March 1 prior to the start of the upcoming academic year.

Upon the conclusion of a semester, the option to increase or decrease a loan award for that semester will be removed.  For specific semester dates, please refer to the academic calendar.

Accepting Offered Federal Direct Loans

Upon the conclusion of a semester, the option to accept a Federal Direct Loan offered for that semester may be limited.  For specific semester dates, please refer to the academic calendar.

Tuition Remission Applications

Tuition remission applications have specific deadlines related to the beginning of the sessions of each semester.  For the specific dates, employees can contact the  or review the tuition remission application itself.

Census Dates

In accordance with federal regulations, the Financial Aid Office will recalculate federal, state, and institutional student aid awards based on the enrollment status as of the Census Date, which is typically the 10th day of class of a given semester.  All students in full semester courses and/or session 1 (first module) courses fall under the first Census Date.  The second Census Date is typically ten days after the start of session 2 (second module).  Students who have courses that occur only within session 2 fall under the second Census Date.
